California College of the Arts

California College of Arts and Crafts is the largest regionally accredited, independent school of art and design, and one of the premier fine arts and design institutions in the United States.

California College of the Arts offers five-year, NAAB-accredited Architecture Program (The National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) is the sole agency authorized to accredit U.S. Professional degree programs in architecture). Its program integrates artistic, critical and material approaches to the study of architecture. The focus in California College of the Arts is on alternative models of practice, fabrication, and design in teaching architecture.


California College of the Arts is a very powerful institute and it often invites leading international figures to visit campus for lectures, studio instruction, and juried reviews.


Studying architecture at the California College of the Arts allows its students to gain real-world experience at architectural firms through the mandatory internship. Students are also allowed to gain credits for working at architectural firms outside of the United States.
